What Data Fusion does

Everything that happens between the order and the invoice

One system for the physical side of the business — what you have, where it is, what it cost, who touched it, and what still has to be made.

Multi-store inventory

Unlimited warehouses, stores and bins with segmented bin naming. Stock levels, opening balances and on-hand analysis per store, item and location.

Purchasing & receiving

Receive against live Sage purchase orders, part-receive with remaining quantities, handle multi-currency, print GRNs, and reconcile Sage-side PO edits without losing receipt history.

Additional costs, posted to Sage

Freight, duty, clearing and handling captured at receiving, on transfers and per BOM workstation — bound to the lot for life and written back to Sage as journals against the accounts you nominate.

Average cost per warehouse

Sage holds one average cost per item. Data Fusion holds one per item per warehouse, carried on every stock movement — so every valuation traces back to the movement that produced it.

Picking & dispatch

Pick from several stores on one slip, split a pick across lots, part-pick with the balance to back order, and drag picking slips through your own picking, packing and delivery stages.

Lot & batch tracking

Capture the supplier’s own batch codes or let the system generate them. Costs stay welded to the lot, and lot-level movement analysis shows exactly where each batch went.

Serial number tracking New

Track individual units end to end. Serials are held as lots of quantity one, so the supplier batch still groups them — scanned in at receiving, scanned out at picking.

Expiry control New

Use-by dates per lot, with a live view of what is short-dated and what has expired, by store and by item — before it turns into a write-off.

Traceability & recall New

Start from a lot or serial and see every customer it reached; start from a customer and see every batch they received. The recall question, answered in seconds.

Stock counts & adjustments

Count by store, upload counted sheets, review variances before you commit, then adjust with a full audit trail. Scanner counting for the aisles.

Transfers between stores

Move stock between warehouses with transfer slips, lot selection and additional costs, so the receiving store’s average cost reflects what it really cost to get there.

Re-order report New

What to buy, how much, and why — demand, stock on hand and stock on order in one view, with a drill-down to the documents behind every figure.

Mobile module

The floor works on a scanner, not a clipboard

The mobile module puts the same live data in the hand of the person doing the work. No re-keying, no paper coming back to the office at the end of the shift.

  • Scan receiving and put-away, with system or supplier lot numbers
  • Scanner picking, including pick-by-bin and licence-plate (LPN) boxing
  • Stock counts and quick moves straight from the aisle
  • Works-order manufacture and notifications on the shop floor
  • Multiple barcodes per item — and the item code scans as a barcode too
Modular by design

Start with stock. Add planning and production when you’re ready.

Every company starts on the Start Module. The add-ons switch on in configuration — no re-implementation, no data migration.

Latest release

New in Data Fusion

Traceability down to the individual unit, costing you can defend, and the tools to straighten out the day when something goes sideways.

Serial number tracking

Individual units tracked through receiving, storage, manufacture and picking — without losing the supplier batch that groups them.

Traceability & recall

Trace a lot or serial forward to the customers who received it, or backwards to the supplier and receipt that brought it in.

Expiry control

One screen for use-by dates across every store: what is short-dated, what has expired, and exactly where it is sitting.

Re-order report

Replenishment driven by real demand, on-hand and on-order figures — with the source documents one click away.

Add-cost journals to Sage

Additional costs post to Sage as journals against nominated accounts, including per-BOM add-cost accounts for manufacturing.

Editable works-order components

Substitute or adjust raw materials on a works order and have the customised build recorded against it — the BOM stays intact.

Safer receiving and manufacture

Works orders can no longer be manufactured twice, part-received purchase orders can’t be closed by accident, Sage-side PO edits reconcile without losing receipt history, and stuck receipts have their own recovery screen.

Faster on big data sets

Stock levels, opening balances and lot look-ups have been rebuilt for speed, so counts, enquiries and demand screens stay quick as the history grows.
